Check-In

• Q: We have a lot of visitor children check in’s on Christmas; what is the most efficient way to handle visitors so it doesn’t bottleneck at check in?
• A: Have a greeter! This personal approach lets the guest know that they are not just a number. The greeter can give them directions and welcome them. They can also give them more information on how to join the church if they are interested. Introducing them to other members is also a great way to plug them in right away.

Internal Communication:

• Q: What do you advise for internal communication with our team? For example, if something is going wrong on Sunday morning, what’s a fast way to communicate a change to the entire staff?
• A: Often times, staff have walkie talkies or cell phones. You could set up a group text with the people that are in charge of manning certain stations and have that ready to go. Also group chat on Teams is very convenient even though the staff may not be in front of their computer.
